Hi yes I'm an old timer, I love speedway and have done since April 1964 , I did'nt care who the promotor was or team manager , I was not concernd about the politcs,or what riders got paid or how much they demanded , Team averages or statistics that rule the sport now, I just Wanted to watch Speedway, and if I come over to some people as criticle as I have done Many times , Its just because I am Frustrated with the way the sport is being run.Rant over , what a great match with Rye House, Super racing great Stuff with the right publicity next year and this team it should be a return to the great times.

I suppose I qualify in here as well.
Used to go to St Patrick's Primary school - right next to Somerton Park. Thats how I got hooked on speedway around 1964 ish (too long ago to remember exct dates).
Been watching speedway for most of the time - did go through a period of enforced abstinance when Newport closed and sort of lost interest.
Good to have a competative team riding for the Wasps and Hornets these days.
Credit needs to go to all concerned in building and running the speedway and the improvement in performance.
It's not solely about winning - just being competative and having a good racing season will do for me (like to stay away from the foot of the tables though).

My first track being New Cross and when they closed onto West Ham. Came to Canada in 1973 and where I found Speedway at Welland & Paris...still come back to England for my BIG Speedway fix every couple of years.

well i must qualify for this one. I was born just round the corner from the Firs in Norwich, and lucky to have gone there. Used to spend hours there riding round the track on push bikes, when they left the gates open. Enjoy watching where ever.

Seeing Canada mentioned, my wife and I went to the rockies it was great. The only thing wrong was the rockies didn't rock and the grizzly bears were not crying
